Suzy Kish
September 20, 1955 – May 18, 2018
You may have learned of the death of our sister, Suzy. We, her surviving sisters, are gathered together to take care of her affairs. Last Friday, Suzy chose to take her own life, and we learned that she had planned this act for several months. She was considerate in leaving her affairs in order for us. Suzy wrote to a friend that she felt free and was positive about her decision. We miss her terrible but have to respect her choice.

I learned about Suzy’s passing, through a friend, today. I loved Suzy’s enthusiasm for her volunteer home at the Eiteljorg Museum. She was also a wonderful artist and so clever in her gourd creations. I am floored about this news. She talked about her family in glowing terms and we took a trip to Bloomington to see artists down at the Mather’s Museum one day. I am sorry I had grown out of touch. Suzy has reminded me how precious friendship can be and how important to keep my circle close.
My heartfelt condolences to you,
Cathy A. Burton
